I’m so excited for my friend, comedian Katherine Blanford! She was asked to appear on The Tonight Show for the second time. Katherine reached out to me, to use a photo I took over a year ago, of her eating licorice. I told her, “First of all, it’s a Twizzler. And second, that would be very cool”! She sent the photo to NBC for approval. A week later, Jimmy Fallon was holding one of my favorite images of one of my favorite comedians on national television. It was pretty awesome! Even more awesome, Katherine absolutely killed it!
Side note: On the way to my shoot, I stopped by a dollar store for possible props. I bought a deck of old maid cards, a dart gun and for whatever reason, a bag of Twizzlers. If I had bought a box of Junior Mints or Good n Plenty, things would be so much different. Candy rules.
